You probably already heard about the new #Netflix Original The Umbrella Academy which aired on the 15th of February this year, and if you didn't you're also in the right place.

The show is inspired by a series of comic books written by Gerard Way, Yeah him all emo girls ultimate man crush (including me), the books were illustrated by Gabriel Ba and published by Dark Horse comics.
Gerard Way not only wrote the comics but it was also inspired by My Chemical Romance itself, he started writing before the band broke up and channeled his experiences with his dysfunctional band family into the family in the show.

The plot-line is amazing and it tells the story of seven super hero kids that were raised by a rather authoritarian guardian, and it follows the dysfunctional family until they're emotionally unstable adults who have to save the world.

The Characters are likable and played by well a known set of actors and actresses like Robert Sheehan, Mary j Blige, Tom Hopper and Kate Walsh. Also Aidan Gallagher who played Nicky in Nicky, Rick, Dicky and Down on Nickelodeon, is giving us acting gold with his performance of a 58 year old.
Two words, one name; Ellen Page, the one and only Queen of Queer community (in my opinion). I have been obsessed with her ever since Juno and Hard Candy which I suggest you watch if you haven't yet.

The twist at the end is great and leaves us wanting more, the creators of the show Steve Blackman and Jeremy Slater really captures our attention with the stunning visuals and impressive story-line.
If you are a fan of superheroes shows then this is the show for you, it combines all the elements needed to give us all the super vibes we love.

What are you waiting for? Binge all 10 episodes of #theumbrellaacademy on Netflix right now. As always I'd love to know your thoughts or suggestions in my comments or my Instagram page.
